This is the GrimmSpeed Post MAF Hose Kit. This post-MAF hose combines durable multi-layer silicone fiber and smooth interior walls and CAD technology that makes for an excellent high-performance upgrade over the factory OEM post-MAF hose. This is achieved by eliminating the pockets and corrugated folds in the OEM design to improve the overall flow and throttle response.
TECHNICAL:
- Reinforced silicone construction
- The design removes the OEM corrugated folds and the pockets to create a smooth interior wall
- Designed with a tapered center portion to make sure the diameter matches the OEM air box and turbo inlet
- The design eliminates mismatched hose diameter which can create steps that will cause airflow trajectories and small vortexes
- The shape of the hose was optimized through CAD Flow Simulation Testing to generate a smoother flow path
- The removal of the corrugated folds adds a significant reduction in vorticity to calculate the highest flow efficiency
- The tapered center portion in the design has an emphasis on vorticity to reduce as much turbulence as possible
