Honda didn’t hold back when they built the 10th Gen Type R. With its 2.0L turbo engine, bold design, and strong chassis, it quickly became a car people either loved or didn’t know what to think of. Today, it still turns heads and has proven to be a powerful platform with huge tuning potential. But because Honda designed it for everyday drivers too, the stock clutch hydraulic system feels a bit soft and not as responsive as many enthusiasts want. Upgrading to the Clutch Masters Billet Aluminum Clutch Master Cylinder fixes that. It gives your clutch a stronger, more consistent feel and is built to handle more aggressive driving—perfect for anyone looking to get the most performance out of their Type R.

This kit is a complete plug and play kit and includes everything you need to install this system. This kit will delete the factory clutch fluid damper that is integrated into the clutch master cylinder. Removing this fluid damper will drastically improve the pedal feel on your car and allow you some feedback from your clutch which will prevent mis-shifts and just give you a much more connected driving experience

Our kit works with the OEM slave cylinder. Just remember that the stock slave cylinder has a built-in clutch delay valve, which many drivers remove to get a more direct, connected clutch feel. Removing it helps you clearly feel when the clutch is engaging and disengaging. If you want to upgrade the whole hydraulic system and save money in the long run, you can add one of our internal hydraulic release bearings. This completely replaces the stock slave cylinder and gives you a full performance hydraulic clutch setup. Upgrading to this kit removes all factory restrictors and fluid accumulators, giving you a cleaner and more responsive system. For drivers who prefer a little bit of clutch “give” instead of an instant engagement, adding one of our Flow Control Valves lets you fine-tune the clutch release. Even then, our valve is still much smoother and less restrictive than the factory delay valve.
