PRODUCT DETAILS ▾
Overview
Clutch Masters Industries offers hydraulic clutch kits that include various components like clutch master cylinders, but we also allow our customers to purchase individual hydraulic clutch components, including a hydraulic release bearing. Also known as a hydraulic throwout bearing, the release bearing is an integral component that connects the clutch linkage from the pedal to the clutch assembly. The hydraulic release bearing replaces what would normally be a slave cylinder, clutch fork, throwout bearing, and pivot ball and combines all of those into one compact system.
Similar to how wheel bearings allow for the movement of the spinning wheel around the stationary spindle, the hydraulic throwout bearing allows the clutch to keep spinning when the engine is in operation while the piston and housing of the clutch master cylinder stay stationary. When the driver applies pressure to the clutch pedal, hydraulic fluid presses on the back of a piston and the hydraulic release bearing contacts the diaphragm spring of the pressure plate to separate the link between the engine and the transmission’s input shaft.
If your vehicle’s throwout bearing is worn-out or compromised, find a high-quality replacement for your high-performance vehicle at Clutch Masters Industries.
