These are the GrimmSpeed Phenolic Thermal Spacers. These thermal spacers have been designed to absorb the heat that generates between the intake manifold and the engine block. When running the factory gaskets only, the intake manifold can get very hot to the touch, and that unnecessary internal heat gets cycled back through the engine leaving much room for improvement. GrimmSpeed has come up with a great solution by creating a set of phenolic spacers that are available in a variety of thicknesses to absorb that heat to drastically reduce the transfer of heat from the engine block to the intake manifold. The result is a 1% increase in horsepower for every 5 degrees of heat reduction.

- Designed to absorb the heat from the engine and the intake manifold

- Super durable phenolic material construction
- Creates cooler and denser air which increases the amount of air that mixes with the fuel which improves the overall efficiency
- Every 5 degrees in temperature drop will increase the horsepower by 1%
- Direct bolt-on installation
- Can withstand operating temperatures past 500°F
- Capable of conducting 300-900 times less heat when compared to the steel intake manifold gaskets
- Sold as a pair

- It is recommended to use (2) sets of intake manifold gaskets on each side of the spacers (sold separately)
