Like all turbocharged vehicles, once you start adding more boost and more horsepower, you are surpassing the cooling capacity of your factory issued intercooler. With that being said, Mishimoto combined their brains, their expertise, and their engineering to develop a more efficient intercooler kit that will lower those intake charge temperatures to maximize the potential of your turbocharger, along with your current and future modifications.
Here are some key features:
- Direct fitment
- 26° F (15°C) reduction in AIT
- 51% increase in core size
- 25% increase in internal core volume and a 226% increase in external fin surface area
- Replaces both hot side and cold side intercooler pipes and couplers with quality aluminum pipes with smooth mandrel bends which will limit air restriction and turbulence. They will also come powder-coated in a nice black finish to add a cleaner look to the engine bay.
- Includes air diversion plates to direct ir through the intercooler core for maximum efficiency
- Stock location will prevent air flow blockage to the radiator and AC condenser
- Tube and fin construction for added weight reduction over bar and plate cores
- All-aluminum, TIG welded
- Fits stock, Mishimoto, or most aftermarket intercooler pipe kits
- Gold intercooler core finish
Note that this kit will also come with all the required silicone couplers, clamps, and hardware to make the intercooler ready for the installation.
